Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active SC clearance required
  • 5+ years of experience as a researcher
  • Experience leading research on complex digital services in Agile environments
  • Strong knowledge of UK public sector service design
  • Knowledge of GDS service standards, GOV.UK design system patterns, and assessment processes
  • End-to-end research capability, including generative and evaluative studies, analysis, and synthesis
  • Broad qualitative and quantitative research methodology expertise
  • Experience with moderated and unmoderated usability testing, depth interviews, surveys, co-design, and diary studies
  • Strong consultancy skills and experience advising on research strategy
  • Experience building trusted client relationships and influencing senior decision-makers
  • Stakeholder management expertise
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders and facilitating workshops
  • Proven impact demonstrated through a strong portfolio or case studies
  • Thorough understanding of ethical considerations in user research, particularly with vulnerable users or users with access needs
  • Deep understanding of inclusive design and accessibility
  • Experience conducting research with users with access needs
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.2
  • Experience working within Agile teams and contributing to ceremonies
  • Ability to support iterative, user-centred delivery
