About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, automate, and maintain E2E tests with Cypress, including Page Objects, custom commands, and fixtures.
Implement BDD scenarios with Cucumber/Gherkin in collaboration with PMs and developers.
Create and maintain REST/GraphQL API tests to validate status codes, headers, schemas, and authentication.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
Execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests.
Validate data and business rules through SQL queries.
Report quality and test coverage metrics.
Support junior QAs.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with manual testing and E2E automation using Cypress.
Experience with BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) and maintaining feature files.
Proficiency in REST API testing, including validation of status codes, headers, schemas, and OAuth/JWT authentication.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Git version control.
Experience working in Agile methodologies.
Nice to have: k6/performance testing, Cypress Component Testing, contract testing (Pact), GraphQL, Docker, Datadog/Grafana, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and the use of AI in testing, such as Copilot or Claude.
