About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide programmatic supervision and support for Child Find initiatives across supported schools
- Oversee 45-day screenings, special education evaluations, Section 504 evaluations, and pre-referral intervention initiatives including MTSS
- Provide professional expertise in school psychology related to Child Find initiatives
- Assist with onboarding content for new school psychologists
- Consult with administrators, department leads, and school psychologists on IDEA, Section 504, IEE, evaluation requests, and Child Find screenings
- Provide technical assistance related to MTSS and pre-referral intervention programs
- Create and implement professional learning opportunities
- Assist with school psychologist performance evaluation content
- Track evaluation compliance indicators, including Indicator 11 data, parent request timelines, and triennial re-evaluations
- Conduct campus visits and audits to ensure state and federal compliance
- Facilitate technical assistance opportunities and department meetings
- Review evaluations and provide expertise to campus staff and administration
- Attend Level 2 and Level 3 meetings
- Facilitate external, bilingual, independent educational, and voucher-application evaluations
- Consult with ESS leadership regarding programming, staffing, equipment, and materials
- Research laws and practices in new and active states
- Assist in developing policies and programming
- Screen school psychologist applicants for hiring and contracting
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- National Certification as a school psychologist preferred
- Meets all qualifications of School Psychologist position
- Eligibility for licensure in all states in which Legacy operates
- 3 years experience as a practicing school psychologist
- Leadership experience preferred
- Must pass a criminal history background check
- Must be able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times
- Ability to travel between campuses and conduct local and in-state travel
- Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to sit for long periods, talk on the phone, stand, kneel, stoop, and maintain long periods of concentration
