About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with IT project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to define tasks, dependencies, timelines, and resource requirements
- Track progress, update schedules, and prepare schedule documentation and status reports for leadership and stakeholders
- Monitor resource allocation across multiple projects and identify conflicts, bottlenecks, and scheduling constraints
- Conduct critical path analyses, identify schedule risks and delays, and recommend mitigation strategies with project managers
- Facilitate regular scheduling meetings to gather updates, evaluate changes, and refine plans
- Support team objectives and project success through additional tasks and responsibilities as needed
- Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders across concurrent IT projects in a cross-functional Agile environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience as a project scheduler in IT or a related industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software
- Strong understanding of the IT project lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Experience with dependency management, critical path analysis, and resource planning across concurrent projects
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and adapt to dynamic project environments
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- All selected candidates must successfully complete a background check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including required fingerprinting, when required for the position
- Must reside within the continental US
- Sponsorship is not offered
- PMP or PMI-SP certification is a plus
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies is an additional qualification
- Experience managing schedules for healthcare IT or federal technology modernization projects is an additional qualification
