Develop clean, maintainable, testable, and reusable C# code based on business requirements and user stories
Design, develop, and maintain applications using ASP.NET Core MVC, ASP.NET Core Razor Pages, and Entity Framework Core
Design and implement RESTful APIs following best practices and scalable architecture principles
Contribute to frontend development using HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Work with SQL Server, including data modelling, query optimization, and performance tuning
Implement automated unit and integration tests
Collaborate using Git-based workflows and participate in code reviews
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
Work with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-based architectures
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and performance issues
Contribute to continuous improvement of code quality, architecture, and development processes
Develop modern web applications in the FinTech sector for Vexcash AG, an online provider of short-term loans
Work in a skilled and collaborative environment as a full-stack developer, primarily focused on backend services and APIs while supporting frontend development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong professional experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem
Hands-on experience with .NET Framework and .NET 8+ / ASP.NET Core
Solid experience with ADO.NET and Entity Framework Core
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, relational database design, and query optimization
Experience with frontend technologies (HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS)
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest
Good understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
Experience using Git in collaborative development environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Experience working in agile development environments
Strong problem-solving skills and focus on code quality
Good command of English and German
Freelancer / independent contractor availability
Ability to work a 6-month contract at 40 hours/week
