About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a hands-on technical leader embedded in VF Corporation’s centralized Agentic AI team
Own pro-code development of production-grade agentic AI, including custom agents, multi-agent orchestration, complex integrations, and bespoke solutions
Enable low-code development across brand and business functions through guardrails, patterns, templates, and governance
Own Copilot Studio’s pro-code extension layer, including custom connectors, Power Platform dataflows, custom actions, and reusable component libraries
Implement multi-agent orchestration, MCP server integration, human-in-the-loop approval workflows, and Copilot Tuning
Build governance standards for lifecycle management, naming conventions, environment management, DLP policies, Entra Agent ID, telemetry, analytics, and cost tracking
Architect and build custom agentic applications on Azure AI Foundry
Build and maintain RAG pipelines, vector databases, agent evaluation infrastructure, benchmarks, LLM-as-judge pipelines, red-team harnesses, and regression test suites
Implement agent observability, tracing, monitoring, Application Insights, and custom telemetry
Implement responsible AI controls including guardrails, content safety filters, PII detection and masking, prompt injection defenses, and bias mitigation
Design and deliver tiered Copilot Studio training for business analysts, power users, and technical builders
Build and publish VF’s Agent Developer Guide and governance-approved agent template gallery
Track developer adoption, business value, quality, and governance compliance metrics
Transition citizen-built agents to pro-code solutions when low-code capabilities are insufficient
Design integrations between agent platforms and enterprise systems using connectors, APIs, MCP servers, and event-driven architectures
Establish standards for agent memory, state management, and context handling
Write production-quality TypeScript, Python, or C# code and build CI/CD and deployment automation
Implement unit, integration, evaluation, human-review, and performance testing
Define and enforce agent quality standards and governance automation
Build observability dashboards across brands and functions
Own incident response, remediation, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of software engineering experience (Senior) or 12+ years (Principal)
At least 2 years focused on AI/ML systems, conversational AI, or agentic AI platforms
Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Copilot Studio, including low-code authoring and pro-code extension
Strong production experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, Prompt Flow, Semantic Kernel, and Azure AI Agent Service
Proficiency in at least two additional agent frameworks beyond the Microsoft ecosystem: LangChain/LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or comparable orchestration frameworks
Deep understanding of multi-agent orchestration, tool use and function calling, RAG architectures, embedding strategies, evaluation methodologies, guardrails, and MCP
Strong software engineering fundamentals in TypeScript, Python, or C#
Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API design, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, Terraform), and containerization
Excellent communication skills with engineering peers and business leaders
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI/ML, Engineering, or a related field; Masters preferred
Experience with Sierra AI or comparable AI platforms for consumer-facing customer service agents
Background in Power Platform administration, governance, and toolkit deployment
