About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a consultative resource for application teams, providing technical guidance, standards, process knowledge, and tools for delivering products and services in multi-cloud environments
Build Continuous Infrastructure Automation process automation and tooling with guardrails for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
Develop tools, scripts, and frameworks to improve automation, monitoring, and management of large-scale environments
Build declarative provisioning and configuration templates for self-service provisioning
Build governance, compliance, and security-as-code templates
Design and build automated multi-cloud deployment frameworks using CI/CD
Architect, design, and build VF’s AI and Data Platforms in Azure Databricks and Azure AI Foundry
Drive organizational change regarding AI and Data platforms in cloud environments
Manage source code and build artifacts for the Continuous Infrastructure Automation platform
Implement, manage, and support multi-cloud platform tools, including CI/CD, SCM, artifact repositories, monitoring, observability, cost management, governance, and compliance tools
Mentor team members and coworkers on cloud best practices, GitOps, and DevOps principles
Research, implement, and communicate infrastructure-as-code solutions across the enterprise

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience in cloud platform engineering
At least 5 years’ experience designing, implementing and supporting cloud-based infrastructure and platform services, including AWS and Azure
Extensive experience with public cloud offerings such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
Ability to act as a champion for a DevOps culture
Ability to iterate quickly in an agile development process
Experience with CI/CD automation
Experience building infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Packer, and Ansible
Experience with cloud-native engineering, including Kubernetes, containers, Docker, and serverless technologies
Experience with test-driven development frameworks for application and infrastructure code
In-depth network and system engineering experience, including DNS, ADFS, HTTPS, firewalls, and L7 routing
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Strong knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, DevOps, and agile processes and practices
Experience following enterprise change and release management processes
DBA experience preferred
Broad knowledge of SRE frameworks for monitoring golden signals and applicable tools
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
May require extended work hours, including participation in on-call rotations
Ability to travel by air and overnight, 10%
