About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and execute a sales strategy to increase average health plan contract value across Vheda’s portfolio
  • Represent Vheda’s products and services to nominated health plans at corporate and market levels
  • Promote Vheda’s value proposition to secure contracts covering members ('lives') in line with growth goals
  • Own the entire sales process from identifying and creating opportunities through executive engagement, solution development, negotiation, contracting, and close
  • Surpass defined growth goals for key client relationships with measurable outcomes
  • Develop and refine processes that enhance contract negotiations and business development efforts
  • Use data-driven approaches to identify and exploit new sales channels while maintaining long-term strategic client relationships
  • Work with the executive team to achieve annual Medicaid market growth targets, including increasing contract value by at least 100% year over year
  • Evaluate market dynamics and adjust strategies for client needs, regulatory environments, and market shifts
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to align business strategies with innovation and operational goals
  • Mentor internal teams on Medicaid market trends and contract negotiations
  • Meet and exceed KPIs tied to contract growth, health plan-specific revenue targets, and contract expansion
  • Provide regular performance reports to executive leadership and proactively address unmet goals
  • Serve as focal point for team questions, business issues, readiness, and enablement issues, ensuring action plans are in place
  • Provide constructive and analytical feedback to sales stakeholders
  • Work with partners for maximum effectiveness and territory expansion
  • Provide timely input to marketing and executive leadership
  • Deliver regular and ad-hoc reporting and business insights
  • Turn problems into opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relationship building within the client environment is critical to success
  • Ability to influence and work with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of Medicaid health plans and landscape, particularly around contract lifecycles
  • Experience working in or leading a team dedicated to Medicaid health plans
  • Proficiency in contract management, negotiation, and expansion strategies
  • Strong ability to influence and negotiate
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in or around Medicaid vendors
  • Demonstrable success in developing client engagement and growth plans
  • Proven track record in delivering growth results measured against a specific plan
  • Ability to operate within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to present clear and concise information
  • Strong understanding of developing long-term high-value client relationships
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, physical sciences, or related field
  • MBA preferred
