About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support fundraising activities during the Director of Institutional Giving's leave
  • Research Vibrant's existing universe of institutional prospects and identify additional opportunities
  • Develop a refined, actionable portfolio of foundation and corporate prospects
  • Determine prospect qualification and programmatic alignment with Vibrant’s focus areas
  • Research corporate philanthropy and strategic partnerships
  • Deliver a prioritized institutional prospect portfolio with actionable research, contacts, and funding or partnership opportunities
  • Support grant development and proposal creation for a limited number of institutional funding opportunities
  • Provide individual prospect research and segmentation, database updates, and internal briefing materials as capacity permits
  • Work independently behind the scenes without managing external funder relationships or independently submitting proposals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience with prospect research or institutional fundraising
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Passion for the mission
  • Self-motivation and self-starter attitude
  • Equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience may meet minimum qualifications
