About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build Vício’s data architecture, structuring the Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and analytical models to meet business needs
  • Model and integrate data from Marketing, CRM, Sales, Finance, and other areas, building robust pipelines with APIs, webhooks, and diverse data sources
  • Establish data governance, quality, documentation, and security, creating standards to disseminate knowledge across the team
  • Provide technical leadership for data-related decisions by defining standards, reviewing solutions, and supporting analysts and data and automation professionals
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, costs, security, and reliability, applying AWS best practices and complying with Brazil’s LGPD
  • Implement and continuously improve CI/CD, version control, documentation, and observability processes for pipelines and models

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience with data modeling in production, including dimensional modeling, Data Vault, or equivalent approaches
  • Experience building or restructuring cloud data architectures
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL applied to data engineering
  • Experience with AWS, especially S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, CloudWatch, and IAM
  • Experience with Airflow or Step Functions and dbt
  • Experience implementing CI/CD for data pipelines and models
  • Knowledge of governance, quality, catalogs, lineage, and access policies
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and webhooks
  • Ability to serve as a technical authority by defining standards, reviewing code, mentoring team members, and translating technical decisions for the business
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience with information governance, including lifecycle management, retention, classification, and policies aligned with Brazil’s LGPD (a plus)
  • Academic background in data, such as a master’s degree, doctorate, research experience, publications, or participation in research groups (a plus)
  • Based in Fortaleza, Ceará, or the surrounding metropolitan area
