Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant qualification in urban planning, or currently working towards one (mandatory)
  • Graduated, or due to graduate, from an Australian or New Zealand University between 1 December 2024 and 31 January 2027
  • Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or holder of a valid visa with full working rights for the required period
  • Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks
  • Awareness of the Victoria Planning Provisions and the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (desirable)
  • Genuine interest in statutory and strategic planning (desirable)
  • Clear communication, adapting technical planning concepts for different audiences
  • Problem-solving and application of planning principles
  • Proactive, organised and detail-focused approach
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Curiosity about statutory and strategic planning and interest in building a career in it
  • Transcript, resume and cover letter required for application
