About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain collaborative scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, investigators, oncology centres and key external experts across the region
- Facilitate balanced, evidence-based scientific exchange regarding GSK medicines, clinical data and pipeline developments
- Gather, analyse and communicate medical insights to inform strategy and identify opportunities to improve patient care
- Support evidence-generation activities, including investigator-sponsored studies and scientific collaborations
- Identify and engage potential investigators, research sites and external experts
- Plan and contribute to scientific meetings, advisory boards and educational programmes
- Represent GSK Medical Affairs at regional and national scientific congresses and meetings
- Collaborate across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Commercial and other cross-functional teams
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable ethical, regulatory and compliance standards
- Support healthcare professionals and key stakeholders across North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony, including Münster, Osnabrück, Oldenburg, Bochum and Bremen
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc or equivalent)
- Experience in a Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, Medical Advisor, Clinical Scientist or similar scientific role
- Scientific knowledge within Oncology, Hematology or a related therapeutic area
- Experience engaging with healthcare professionals, investigators, researchers or scientific experts
- Strong communication skills in German and English
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory
- Understanding of ethical, regulatory and compliance requirements within healthcare or life sciences environments
- Knowledge of hematologic malignancies, solid tumours, immuno-oncology or related specialist disease areas is advantageous but not essential
- Experience working with oncology centres, university hospitals, research networks or specialist healthcare institutions is advantageous but not essential
- Participation in clinical research, investigator-sponsored studies or evidence-generation activities is advantageous but not essential
- Experience planning or facilitating advisory boards, scientific meetings or educational initiatives is advantageous but not essential
- Strong presentation and scientific storytelling skills is advantageous but not essential
- Experience translating scientific insights into recommendations that influence strategy and decision-making is advantageous but not essential
