About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead projects and initiatives supporting efficiency, optimization and savings across electrical, mechanical, gas-systems and aesthetical components and materials categories for home-appliance manufacturing
- Manage the assigned supply base and drive continuous cost and quality improvements
- Negotiate favorable pricing, terms and conditions to achieve the best total cost of ownership
- Design and implement best practices to improve business performance, reduce waste and strengthen supply-chain reliability
- Drive quality continuous improvement and quality cost recovery
- Use data analytics and fact-based decision-making to identify and drive cost-reduction opportunities
- Lead sourcing events including RFIs, RFQs and RFPs for total landed-cost reduction and new product development
- Collaborate with manufacturing, finance, quality, Product Development, Operations and Materials teams and suppliers
- Ensure material availability and timely resolution of supply-related issues
- Drive effective communication and collaboration to ensure operational execution and timely product delivery
- Collaborate with Finance and Treasury to comply with company policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, finance or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, materials or supply chain roles
- Experience in international trade is a plus
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MRP/ERP systems and inventory management best practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Participative leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong assertive communication, ability to positively influence others and drive results
