About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support implementation, scale-up, and sustainability of digital solutions strengthening vaccine supply chains and immunization programs in Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, and Sokoto
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact with NPHCDA at the national level
- Support information flow, joint planning, and follow-up between VillageReach and government counterparts
- Support state co-design workshops, operational planning sessions, and coordination meetings, including NLWG and SLWG meetings
- Prepare meeting materials, take notes, and track agreed actions
- Track health facility use of last mile vaccine stock visibility tools and report performance and support needs
- Coordinate with technical partners working on the last mile vaccine stock visibility platform and related Nigeria supply chain investments
- Support system and data-flow testing, health facility verification, and baseline data collection and documentation
- Track targeted health facility support and coordinate helpdesk/WhatsApp support channels
- Follow up on unresolved reporting or account issues
- Prepare dashboards and management products for SLWG reviews
- Document decisions and follow-up actions from performance review meetings
- Support sustainability planning, state continuation plans, national documentation, and learning playbook development
- Monitor reporting completeness, timeliness, and data quality
- Flag issues for follow-up with LGA and state teams
- Contribute to weekly internal project performance reviews and quarterly cross-state review meetings
- Support quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, synthesis, documentation, and donor report inputs
- Track project workplan, timelines, deliverables, and results tracker
- Coordinate logistics for state visits, workshops, and meetings
- Draft internal and external communications, briefs, and presentations
- Support compliance with grant and organizational requirements, including gender-responsive implementation documentation
- Collaborate with government partners, health system stakeholders, VillageReach Nigeria, global teams, subawardees, and other technical partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- Graduate degree (or equivalent experience) in public health, international development, health systems, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in public health, immunization or vaccine supply chain, health information systems, or program implementation
- Experience with programmatic monitoring and evaluation, including designing and implementing a monitoring and evaluation approach, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and routine use of data for programmatic decision-making
- Experience working with or alongside government health institutions in Nigeria strongly preferred
- Familiarity with NPHCDA, State Primary Health Care Boards, and LGA-level health structures is an asset
- Experience supporting donor-funded programs and familiarity with grant reporting requirements is a plus
- Established cultural competency in partnering with racial, cultural and linguistically diverse groups
- Understanding of challenges in rural, underserved and low-income contexts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Working knowledge of, or willingness to quickly learn, DHIS2 and OpenLMIS
- Strong coordination, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Sound judgment and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently between check-ins
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work respectfully and effectively with government officials, health workers, and community stakeholders
- Attentiveness to gender-responsive programming
- Willingness and ability to travel within Nigeria, including Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, and Sokoto States
- All staff must be available during core collaboration hours between 6am Pacific Time and 18:00 South Africa Time (GMT+1), Monday through Thursday
