About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Welcome and assist the public, particularly with memberships, recommendations, and information searches
  • Develop and manage collections in accordance with the collection development policy for the Adult and Youth subject areas
  • Participate in project groups for cultural programs, including the film club and senior residence program
  • Contribute to the digital mediation of knowledge
  • Work at the media library sites located at 111 Rue Jean-Jaurès and 29 Avenue de l’Europe in Levallois-Perret
  • Provide occasional evening coverage for film club screenings and the Night of Reading event
  • Work on Sundays on a voluntary basis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University-level and/or library science qualification
  • Successful professional experience in the field
  • Strong knowledge of publishing output, including fiction, literature, and nonfiction
  • Knowledge of the film industry and cinema
  • Proficiency in computer tools and the use of digital resources
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
  • Team spirit, open-mindedness, and versatility
  • Open to permanent civil servants and contract employees
