About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee international tax activities across the Group's global operations.
  • Develop and implement the Group's global tax strategy, governance framework, and operating priorities.
  • Advise senior management on significant international tax matters and business initiatives.
  • Drive development of the India-based GCC as a Global Tax Center of Excellence.
  • Lead international tax planning and advise on global operations, cross-border and intercompany transactions, expansion, financing, and legal entity structures.
  • Provide tax support for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, and strategic transactions.
  • Oversee corporate income tax compliance, global tax reporting, tax provisions, and statutory filings.
  • Lead global transfer pricing policy, compliance, documentation, benchmarking, agreements, and reporting.
  • Support tax audits, examinations, advance pricing agreements, controversy matters, and tax authority requests.
  • Provide oversight of VAT, GST, sales and use tax, customs, and other indirect tax matters.
  • Establish tax governance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
  • Lead or coordinate tax audits, assessments, litigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury, Accounting, business leadership, and external advisors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop in-house tax professionals; manage performance, capability, workforce, and succession planning.
  • Drive standardization, simplification, documentation, and automation of tax processes using technology, data, and analytics.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification required.
  • Additional specialization or certification in international taxation or transfer pricing preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive tax experience, including substantial experience in a multinational organization, professional services firm, or GCC environment.
  • Prior experience using artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to enhance tax research, compliance, reporting, data analysis, or process automation would be a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated expertise in international taxation, transfer pricing, OECD/BEPS, Pillar Two, corporate income tax, indirect tax, tax risk management, and M&A tax advisory.
  • Proven experience managing tax matters across multiple jurisdictions and coordinating with local teams and external advisors.
  • Strong understanding of tax accounting, tax provisions, financial reporting, and the operational implementation of tax policies.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, communication, and judgment skills.
  • Ability to translate complex tax matters into clear, practical recommendations for senior management and non-tax stakeholders.
  • Experience building or scaling tax capabilities, teams, or processes in a multinational or GCC environment is preferred.
  • A seasoned international tax leader who combines strong technical expertise with commercial judgment and hands-on execution.
  • Comfortable operating across jurisdictions, influencing senior stakeholders, developing high-performing teams, and building scalable tax processes within a multinational or GCC environment.
