About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, deploy, and manage solutions on Microsoft Azure
  • Implement serverless applications and containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Optimize workloads for cost, scalability, and performance
  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
  • Automate provisioning, monitoring, and scaling of cloud resources
  • Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability and disaster recovery
  • Optimize cloud spend using Azure Cost Management and Advisor
  • Implement RBAC, Azure AD, Managed Identities, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
  • Conduct cloud security reviews and vulnerability assessments
  • Work with developers, architects, and business stakeholders
  • Translate requirements into secure, scalable Azure architectures
  • Stay current with Azure services, best practices, and certifications
  • Responsibilities are adjusted for junior, mid-level, and senior experience levels

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Compute, Networking, Storage, and Databases
  • Proficiency in Linux/Windows administration and scripting with Bash, PowerShell, and Python
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
  • Understanding of cloud networking, including VNet, Load Balancers, DNS, VPN, and ExpressRoute
  • Experience with containers such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS is preferred
  • Knowledge of serverless technologies such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Event Grid is preferred
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Packer is preferred
  • Exposure to hybrid and multi-cloud environments including AWS, GCP, and on-premises systems is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Engineering, IT, or a related field
  • Azure certifications AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400, or Security Specialty are a plus
  • Applicants must hold a valid EU work permit
