About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, KPI packs and P&L reporting for Virgin Media Television
  • Lead monthly forecasting for revenue, costs and content amortisation
  • Prepare analysis and materials for monthly performance reviews with senior stakeholders
  • Analyse budget and forecast variances and provide commentary on key drivers and trends
  • Maintain and improve reporting templates, models and dashboards
  • Lead annual budget and multiyear Long Range Plan preparation
  • Coordinate budget inputs across programming, advertising, content teams and cost centre budget holders
  • Build and maintain financial models for budget and LRP submissions
  • Support Finance Director materials for CEO sign-off and senior stakeholder presentations
  • Provide commercial business partnering and financial insight across content, programming and advertising
  • Prepare, review and track business cases and investment requests
  • Monitor programming spend and commitments against budget
  • Support regulatory returns, compliance requirements, internal controls, US GAAP and Purchasing Policy
  • Provide financial support and analysis for strategic projects under the Finance Director’s direction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Financial planning experience
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Experience with Hyperion (Planning & HFM), Oracle or similar systems desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, particularly during monthly reporting and annual budget/LRP cycles
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to translate financial analysis for non-finance stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised and inquisitive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Interest in, or understanding of, the media and broadcast industry is an advantage
