About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and improve web and mobile applications using React, React Native, and other appropriate technologies
Work across frontend, backend APIs, databases, and application logic
Write, read, and debug code in Python and other languages
Work with relational databases, including PostgreSQL
Own features and problems from beginning to end
Work directly with the CTO and engineering team to turn ideas and requirements into products
Determine how products and features should be built
Explore and incorporate AI and emerging technologies
Troubleshoot, experiment, learn, and solve ambiguous problems
Contribute to technology used in real healthcare environments for clinicians and patients

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional coding experience in at least one language
Experience developing applications, preferably including mobile applications
Comfortable working across the stack
Ability to work independently without detailed instructions
Ability to solve problems without an established process or obvious answer
Excitement about AI and practical ways to use it
Experience working with small teams where individual contributions matter and ownership is high
Willingness to challenge assumptions and improve approaches
Responsibility for outcomes, not just assigned tasks
Genuine interest in building healthcare technology
Recent startup experience
Experience building and launching applications
Experience on small engineering teams with significant individual ownership
Experience with React, React Native, Python, PostgreSQL, or cloud infrastructure
Experience incorporating AI into products or development workflows
History of learning new technologies quickly to solve problems
