About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own complex technical projects with minimal direction
- Design scalable, maintainable, and well-documented data pipelines and models
- Build scalable, reliable data solutions aligned with broader business objectives
- Make architectural decisions and improve existing processes
- Identify opportunities for automation
- Drive technical initiatives from design through production
- Mentor other engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Proactively identify risks, performance improvements, and opportunities to modernize the data platform
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be located in Latin America or Eastern Europe
- Must work US East Coast office hours (9 am–6 pm; 8 hours a day)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally 7 or more
- Robust experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning and modern Snowflake capabilities
- Solid experience building and maintaining ELT pipelines using dbt
- Experience orchestrating data workflows using Apache Airflow or a similar orchestration platform
- Comfort creating reports and data visualizations in Sigma, Tableau, or Power BI
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and analytics engineering best practices
- Nice-to-have: experience designing and preparing scalable, high-quality data foundations for AI/ML applications using Snowflake Cortex AI
