About the role

Enhance consumer-facing WordPress websites
Build and maintain websites using WordPress and PHP
Deliver seamless, responsive frontend user experiences
Develop, document, and implement technical SEO requirements with SEO and content teams
Apply SEO best practices, including site speed, mobile-first indexing, and schema markup
Optimize code efficiency and troubleshoot potential issues
Ensure development work contributes to a fast, reliable website
Collaborate with teammates in a fast-paced environment
Propose solutions that improve efficiency and code quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Based in Latin America
3 to 5+ years of experience in the required stack
Mastery of frontend development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
Expertise in CSS, SCSS, jQuery, JavaScript, scoping JS and CSS, and AJAX requests and responses
PHP expertise, including custom classes, hooks, filters, actions, and troubleshooting
Strong WordPress experience with CPTs, custom PHP templates, plugins, themes, built-in WordPress functions, and troubleshooting
Experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs, external endpoints, JSON payloads, request/response handling, and data integration using PHP and JavaScript
Experience with MySQL and efficient database queries
2+ years of experience using Git for WordPress
Git command line and repository control experience
Ability to identify and defuse potential issues
Ability to work US Central or Eastern time office hours
ACF and Gutenberg experience are nice-to-haves, not required
Experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager is a nice-to-have
