About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the commercial and executive relationship, account strategy, expansion opportunities, and financial aspects of renewals and expansions for strategic accounts
  • Own the entire post-sale lifecycle of strategic accounts
  • Ensure customer retention, mitigate churn risk, and secure on-time contract renewals
  • Develop and execute account plans focused on customer health, value realization, and growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain multi-level relationships with end users, executive sponsors, contracting officers, senior government leaders, and C-level executives
  • Ensure customers achieve desired outcomes and realize the full value of the Virtualitics platform
  • Conduct executive business reviews, demonstrate value, review performance metrics, and align on future goals
  • Monitor account health and proactively address issues and customer churn risks
  • Serve as the primary internal voice of the customer
  • Liaise with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to support a seamless customer experience and inform the product roadmap
  • Identify and qualify expansion and upsell opportunities with Sales Account Executives
  • Manage and grow large, complex Federal accounts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Secret clearance required, up to TS; or eligibility to obtain and hold clearance
  • 8–10+ years of experience in a customer-facing role such as Strategic Account Management or Federal Sales, focused on post-sales and renewals
  • Proven, demonstrable track record of achieving near-100% retention and renewal rates with large, strategic enterprise or government accounts
  • Deep experience managing complex Federal/DoD contracts and navigating government procurement and renewal processes
  • Ability to drive customer conversations around renewal paths, color of money, timelines, and risk mitigation
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with senior government leaders and C-level executives
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills and ability to act as a trusted advisor
  • Familiarity with enterprise software, particularly AI/ML, data analytics, or business intelligence
  • Direct experience with AI, logistics, sustainment, and operational readiness solutions within the DoD preferred
  • Established reputation and network within DoD and Intelligence Community program and contracting circles preferred
  • Experience using Customer Success and CRM platforms preferred
  • Active security clearance preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred
