About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate purchasing activities for raw materials, MRO, and other services requested by internal customers
Maintain departmental KPIs for cost effectiveness, on-time purchase-order delivery, and supplier quality
Develop and maintain working relationships with assigned suppliers
Monitor stock and local warehouse inventories and plan quantities needed based on production and delivery plans
Negotiate contracts and delivery conditions for parts, materials, or services
Ensure timely procurement and order management
Report supplier performance and announce and clarify claims when necessary
Communicate with suppliers regarding contract negotiations, delivery follow-up, order rescheduling, and returns of non-conforming orders

Requirements

What you’ll need

1–2 years of experience purchasing or expediting, focused on a manufacturing/production environment
Business-related discipline with emphasis on negotiation skills preferred
Must qualify as a “U.S. Person” under 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (including U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
