About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work as part of a cross-functional consulting team to design, develop, test, deploy, and support technology solutions for clients
Learn the Appian platform and develop applications using interfaces, process models, record types, business rules, data, and integrations
Complete Appian training and work toward Appian Certified Associate Developer certification with company sponsorship and support
Investigate application issues and assist with troubleshooting and production support
Assist with integrations between applications, databases, APIs, web services, and enterprise identity systems
Gain exposure to automated testing, performance testing, cloud services, data platforms, and other enterprise technologies as project needs require

Requirements

What you’ll need

0–2 years of professional experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited university or college is required
Programming experience through coursework, personal projects, internships, or professional experience
Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases, or data modeling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively with clients, teammates, and stakeholders
Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and concepts quickly
Interest in understanding both the business problem and the technology used to solve it
Contract requires US Citizenship
Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust
Preferred: internship, academic project, or professional experience in software development, consulting, engineering, or IT
Preferred: experience with Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar languages; Java preferred
Preferred: exposure to Appian or another low-code, workflow, or process automation platform
Preferred: understanding of object-oriented programming and software design concepts
Preferred: experience working with REST APIs or web services
Preferred: familiarity with Agile software development
Preferred: experience with process modeling or Microsoft Visio
Preferred: understanding of UX or user-centered design concepts
Preferred: automated or manual software testing experience
Preferred: experience with AWS or Azure
Preferred: data analysis or visualization experience
