About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage oversight of the Nuclear Fleet Unescorted Access and Fitness for Duty Program (UA/FFD)
- Interpret USNRC regulations, company policies, and procedures related to UA/FFD
- Provide program and process guidance to Nuclear Fleet personnel
- Provide technical guidance and support for audits and inspections
- Review and oversee approval of Contractor/Vendor Programs
- Manage Site/Fleet Access and Fitness for Duty teams to ensure regulatory and policy compliance
- Serve as regulatory interface with the USNRC, Regulatory Affairs, and Audit Teams
- Act as nuclear fleet subject matter expert regarding UA/FFD regulations
- Oversee Contractor/Vendor programs supporting UA/FFD implementation
- Interface with industry lobbying teams for Vistra UA/FFD Programs
- Establish and maintain business relationships with station departments across the nuclear fleet
- Guide and direct IT support for the Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty Tracking Database and implementing programs
- Coordinate and lead UA/FFD OPI discussions and track completion
- Perform as Reviewing Official, Fitness for Duty Collector, and UA/FFD Trainer as required
- Drive regulatory compliance, cross-disciplinary teamwork, budget compliance, and cost-saving initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15 years' experience in the nuclear security industry (required)
- 5 years' experience as a supervisor/leader (required)
- Working knowledge of 10CFR Part 73.56 and 10CFR Part 26, and NEI 03-01 (required)
- Ability to effectively coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments
- Systematic problem-solving skills
