About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Provide personal care and companionship in private residences or hotel recovery suites
Support light meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration reminders
Provide non-medical medication reminders only; no medication administration
Perform household tasks related to patient care, including tidying the patient’s area and laundry
Provide safety supervision, fall prevention, and mobility assistance
Report patient observations and changes in condition to the supervising RN, LVN, or CNA
Document daily care provided according to Vitale Nursing, Inc. policy
Deliver concierge-level private duty care in Los Angeles communities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Valid Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS)
Current CPR/BLS Certification
Reliable transportation
Professional, punctual, and trustworthy demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Three professional references
Successful completion of a background check and fingerprint clearance
Prior caregiving experience preferred, including home care, hospice, or assisted living
Experience with post-operative recovery support preferred
Familiarity with dementia/Alzheimer’s care and fall prevention preferred
Active HCA registration in California
Two forms of identification: Driver’s License/Passport and Social Security card
Signed employee agreement
Completed application
Physical exam and TB test within 1 year
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, or plan to obtain
Ability to work day and night shifts, Monday–Sunday, with weekend opportunities as needed
