About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and evolve end-to-end and integration automation
Build sustainable testing frameworks across the stack
Work closely with developers to ensure systems are testable by design
Integrate automation into CI/CD using Bitbucket Pipelines
Reduce friction in the software delivery process
Influence testing and automation practices and define pragmatic standards
Raise the overall maturity of automation across the platform
Help engineering teams move confidently while maintaining system integrity
Develop automation and observability practices for a cloud-native SaaS platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep hands-on Playwright experience
Strong Python / JavaScript / TypeScript background in automation contexts
Experience testing modern React-based web applications and component-driven UIs, such as Material UI
Strong API and service testing experience
Integration testing against PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
Experience with systems deployed on Kubernetes or other cloud-native environments
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
Experience with logs, metrics, tracing, and instrumentation
Nice to have: experience defining or evolving testing strategy across teams
Nice to have: background in quality engineering, SRE, or platform engineering
Nice to have: experience with contract testing or schema validation
Nice to have: interest in AI-assisted development workflows and testing approaches
