About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the availability, stability, and performance of SAP environments during the third shift
Diagnose, investigate, and resolve critical incidents, ensuring rapid service recovery
Administer and support SAP NetWeaver ABAP/Java, SAP ECC, SAP TDF, and legacy environments
Analyze performance, logs, traces, dumps, work processes, memory, RFCs, and background jobs
Manage and monitor SAP jobs integrated with Control-M, analyzing failures, dependencies, reprocessing, and normalization
Execute and monitor Changes/GMUDs, deployments, transports, upgrades, and maintenance during overnight windows
Administer TMS/STMS, SAP queues, and transports
Support SAP BTP components, including Cloud Connector, subaccounts, destinations, and IAS/IPS services
Provide technical support for SAP DRC, including connectivity, messaging, and tax integrations
Provide technical support for and monitor SAP TDF, interfaces, and integrations
Support legacy environments, availability, integrations, and service continuity
Perform database routines, monitoring, performance management, backup/recovery, and availability activities
Engage and collaborate with technical teams and vendors on complex incidents
Record incidents, problems, and changes in ServiceNow
Conduct a structured shift handover
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience as an SAP Basis professional in production and highly critical environments
Administration of SAP NetWeaver ABAP/Java and SAP ECC
Experience with SAP HANA, including administration, monitoring, performance management, and backup/recovery
Experience troubleshooting SAP, including work processes, memory, RFCs, background jobs, dumps, logs, and traces
Administration of TMS/STMS and management of SAP transports
Knowledge of databases in the SAP ecosystem, including BRTools, tablespaces, and backup/recovery
Experience managing and monitoring SAP jobs
Experience managing Changes/GMUDs in production environments
Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes for incidents, problems, and changes
Experience with ServiceNow or an equivalent tool
Strong troubleshooting and critical incident analysis skills
Technical autonomy and availability to work the third shift
Availability for overnight hours and scheduled change/maintenance windows
Ability to independently handle critical incidents and production environment outages
Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems and databases in SAP environments
Experience managing incidents, problems, and changes
Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive actions
Knowledge of security and the application of SAP patches/Notes
Knowledge of SAP cloud environments
Preferred qualifications: Control-M; SAP BTP; SAP DRC; SAP TAX ONE; SAP HANA System Replication; SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM; legacy SAP environments; hybrid on-premises and cloud environments; 24x7 operations, overnight windows, and shift handovers
