About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategy and execution of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices for OCS environments and critical Core Mobile systems
- Define, implement, and monitor SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, MTTR, and MTBF
- Drive the transformation of operations through automation, observability, platform engineering, SRE, and DevSecOps
- Ensure the availability, stability, scalability, and resilience of charging and monetization services
- Lead initiatives to reduce incidents, eliminate recurring failures, decrease MTTR, and increase operational efficiency
- Deploy and continuously improve monitoring, observability, capacity planning, and predictive analytics
- Own operational governance, compliance, risk management, and service continuity
- Lead critical incidents, postmortem analyses, and root-cause elimination programs
- Develop, train, and engage high-performing teams
- Promote innovation, process simplification, and continuous improvement of the operating model
- Build future leaders, identify talent, develop successors, and support team growth
- Collaborate with development, architecture, engineering, infrastructure, security, business teams, and strategic suppliers
- Ensure metrics for availability, capacity, performance, quality, and customer experience
- Evolve the operational architecture by expanding automation, self-healing, observability, and resilience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Significant experience leading SRE, production engineering, operations, or critical systems reliability teams
- Proven track record in mission-critical, high-availability environments
- Experience managing SLAs, availability, SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, MTTR, MTBF, operational backlogs, and productivity
- Experience leading organizational, technological, or operational transformation initiatives
- Experience managing critical incidents, problems, changes, and root-cause analyses
- Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and change management skills
- Experience leading, developing, and engaging multidisciplinary teams in critical environments
- Ability to work in complex environments while fostering alignment across multiple teams and suppliers
- Results-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Strong knowledge of automation, observability, reliability engineering, and metrics-based management
- Experience with OCS (Online Charging System) platforms — preferred
- Knowledge of Core Mobile Telecom architecture and components — preferred
- Experience with charging, billing, monetization, and digital services — preferred
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, load balancing, DNS, firewalls, routing, and traffic analysis — preferred
- Knowledge of Grafana, Dynatrace, Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus, or similar tools — preferred
- Experience with cloud computing, Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — preferred
- Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and automation — preferred
- Knowledge of Python and Shell scripting — preferred
- Experience with mission-critical Linux/Unix environments — preferred
- Experience with Oracle databases and performance troubleshooting — preferred
- Experience transforming traditional operations into SRE models — preferred
- Experience managing technology contracts and suppliers — preferred
- Graduate degree, Executive MBA, or specialization in Management, Technology, or Telecommunications — preferred
