About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a multidisciplinary team of project managers, functional analysts, and backend, frontend, and full-stack developers
Oversee the development of complex systems using Java, .NET Core, Node.js, Python, Angular, and React
Ensure software engineering best practices, including clean code, unit and functional testing, security, and performance
Coordinate replatforming projects, legacy system modernization, and migration to AWS/Azure
Work with microservices, REST APIs, Kafka messaging, Terraform, and Kubernetes
Support technical decisions aligned with product and business goals
Enhance backends built with Java, .NET Core, and Node.js, as well as REST/gRPC integrations with internal and external APIs
Work with distributed architectures, Kubernetes containers, Kafka, and AWS/Azure services
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, continuous integration, and software quality monitoring
Drive digital transformation and continuous improvement of critical processes for Vivo’s digital Security products and platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree or formal education in Technology or a related field preferred
Ability to work with business stakeholders and prioritize high-impact demands
In-depth knowledge of software architecture and relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB
Experience in agile, DevOps, and continuous integration environments (CI/CD with GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools)
Ability to connect business needs with technical decisions
Previous experience leading technical teams and developing employees’ soft and hard skills
Proficiency in software development and architecture reviews for monolithic and microservices-based systems
Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, and SonarQube
Agile mindset, systems thinking, and a strong sense of ownership
Experience with Java, .NET Core, Node.js, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
Knowledge of microservices, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes
Preferred qualifications: experience with security platforms, IAM, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, biometrics, and fraud prevention/detection
Preferred qualifications: proven experience as a technical manager
Preferred qualifications: observability with Grafana and New Relic, automated testing, and SRE practices
Preferred qualifications: technical certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SAFe, PMP, or CSM
