About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, implement, and evaluate robust, scalable AI algorithms and agentic workflows and infrastructure for clinical settings
Prepare, process, and analyze complex medical data for algorithm development and validation
Ensure algorithm reliability, performance, and accuracy in production through troubleshooting, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with Product Managers and Clinical Specialists to translate clinical and business needs into data-driven solutions
Research, develop, and integrate Large Language Models to extract insights from medical texts
Develop intelligent agents for optimized clinical decision support
Lead development and drive technical decisions affecting the technical domain and related organizational systems
Mentor and develop algorithm developers through technical guidance and design reviews
Stay current with advancements in GenAI, LLMs, and Deep Learning
Organize and participate in seminars, book clubs, and conferences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in algorithm development using Python
Strong foundation in software engineering principles and clean, efficient coding practices
Extensive experience with NLP, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows
Experience in the deployment, delivery, and maintenance of AI algorithms in real-world production environments
Experience developing and deploying deep learning models (CNNs, ViTs, VLMs) for medical data classification, segmentation, and object detection
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment involving product managers, clinicians, and fellow engineers
Experience with AWS preferred
Experience in the medical domain preferred
M.Sc. or higher in Computer Science or a related scientific discipline preferred
