About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a security advisor to development teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize and address security topics
- Communicate risks, projects, and mitigation strategies
- Design, implement, and maintain secure DevOps practices across the SDLC
- Integrate security tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and CSPM into CI/CD pipelines
- Guide developers and DevOps teams on secure coding, vulnerability management, and remediation
- Review and harden CI/CD architecture, including webhook signature verification, SSRF protection, replay attack mitigation, and app-based authentication models
- Own security governance for AI coding and agent tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex
- Enforce least-privilege identities, admin-console controls, MDM policies, and agent access scoping
- Assess and monitor AI/LLM supply-chain risk
- Partner with engineering on secure AI-tool adoption and usage governance
- Develop and maintain automated security testing and vulnerability-scanning processes
- Build and operate monitoring and alerting systems
- Integrate and manage Viz's Coralogix SIEM platform, optimizing signal-to-noise
- Define alerting rules and dashboards to identify suspicious activity
- Champion Viz.ai values, including Patient First, I'm Accountable, Kindness Wins, Quality Squared, and Time is Brain
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps / DevSecOps / SecOps
- Strong experience with CI/CD security, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning
- Proficiency in AWS, including networking, IAM, and security services
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Familiarity with automated security tooling and frameworks such as OWASP and CIS Benchmarks
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience integrating and managing SIEM tools
- Understanding of security best practices for Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience securing AI/LLM tooling and agent-based development workflows, including access governance, MDM enforcement, and supply chain risk
- Experience with JIT/least-privilege access models for cloud data stores
