About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain analytical models, algorithms, AI-enabled capabilities, and data science solutions supporting healthcare benchmarking, performance analysis, entity relationships, and intelligence generation within the Insight Engine
  • Support development of a cohesive Kaufman Hall data strategy, including required data and access mechanisms and coordination of data assets across practices
  • Translate healthcare data, business requirements, and consulting needs into scalable analytical solutions supporting Insight Engine functionality, use cases, and decision-making
  • Evaluate, organize, integrate, and manage large and complex healthcare datasets
  • Partner with technology teams and technical resources to develop and maintain scalable tools, applications, and infrastructure supporting the Insight Engine
  • Research emerging analytical techniques, artificial intelligence capabilities, and data science methodologies
  • Maintain analytical models, data assets, technical solutions, and documentation for future enhancement, auditing, and ongoing operation
  • Collaborate with the Innovation and Insights team, healthcare subject-matter experts, business stakeholders, and technology partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of progressive data science, advanced analytics, AI-enabled analytics and/or other relevant experience required
  • Experience with large data models, healthcare finance, healthcare operations, healthcare analytics, or healthcare data preferred
  • Prior consulting experience preferred
  • Experience developing, utilizing, and deploying machine learning, AI, predictive analytics, optimization modeling, operations research, advanced statistical analysis, or mathematical modeling
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with SQL, PySpark, business intelligence tools, cloud data platforms, statistical software (R, SAS), or related technologies preferred
  • Experience developing, testing, and deploying analytical models using large and complex datasets
  • Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and communicate technical concepts effectively to nontechnical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience working across multiple projects and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of healthcare financial and operational performance concepts preferred
  • Self-directed learner who demonstrates intellectual curiosity, operates independently, and works effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that is inquisitive, proactive, and interested in exploring new tools, technologies, and analytical approaches
  • Unquestionable commitment to personal and corporate integrity

  • Bachelor’s degree required
