About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the multi-disciplinary Insights Engine team
  • Design, develop, launch, maintain, and continuously evolve the Insights Engine
  • Set team priorities, roadmap, work quality, delivery timelines, and capability development goals
  • Apply health-system market, financial, operating data, and performance-indicator knowledge to guide the Insights Engine
  • Ensure data, measures, methodologies, and insights are accurate, meaningful, and relevant to consulting work
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate technical concepts in clear business terms
  • Establish standards and processes for data quality, analytical validation, source reliability, documentation, and responsible use of insights
  • Partner with leaders and subject-matter experts to validate use cases, gather feedback, resolve priorities, and build confidence
  • Lead adoption and continuous improvement by demonstrating value and guiding enhancements based on business needs and user feedback
  • Report to the Innovation and Insights Leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in healthcare consulting, health-system finance, healthcare market analytics, healthcare benchmarking, and/or related fields
  • Deep knowledge of health-system financial and operating performance
  • Ability to interpret financial statements, operational metrics, performance indicators, and relationships among key measures
  • Experience leading complex analytical, data-enabled, or technology-supported initiatives from concept through implementation
  • Ability to translate business needs into analytical and technical requirements
  • Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated project or team leadership experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment within a new and evolving function
  • Work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship in the United States and with Kaufman Hall
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations
  • Occasional travel required (0–10%)
  • Ability to maintain a home office and proximity to an airport may be required
