About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a market-leading portfolio of pharmaceutical supplier service agreements
  • Deliver contracting strategies and expertise that provide supply chain cost reductions
  • Maintain pharmacy program opportunities by coordinating stakeholder needs through contracting, advisory, compliance, policy, and analytics services
  • Support development of new opportunities with team members
  • Align business strategy with corporate strategic objectives related to services and contracting
  • Capture and organize information from voice-of-customer engagements
  • Identify strategic issues and opportunities to improve stakeholder satisfaction and engagement
  • Review financial aspects of assigned contracts, including accruals, forecasting, and revenue expectations
  • Lead pharmaceutical negotiations from opportunity identification through implementation
  • Build relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers and serve as the primary communication point for pharmacy service programs
  • Partner with legal resources to develop appropriate contract terms
  • Establish stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor
  • Monitor, review, and update projects and contracts based on market changes
  • Pursue opportunities to grow pharmacy purchases and savings for existing programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pharmacy or PharmD Degree required
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required
  • Contracting experience with direct negotiations preferred
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Strong presentation and customer service skills
  • Cross-functional interaction skills with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Experience in pharmacy, marketing, business and/or project management a plus
  • Willingness to travel
