About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide custom analytics and insights to Vizient clients using Vizient data, emphasizing hospital operations data and the Operational Database (ODB)
- Deliver customized analyses using operational, quality outcomes, procedural, and utilization data
- Conduct comparative analyses of operational performance, costs, productivity, utilization, outcomes, supply use, and facility performance
- Analyze healthcare operations data and translate findings into actionable insights for strategic, operational, and executive decision-making
- Apply healthcare operations and finance knowledge, Vizient differentiators, industry practices, and relevant data sources to strengthen analyses
- Collaborate with hospital finance and operations teams to evaluate performance against peer benchmarks
- Plan and facilitate client meetings to gather requirements, understand business processes, communicate findings, and manage expectations
- Develop reports, identify performance variation relative to benchmarks, and explore data integrations
- Ensure data reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with analytical requirements and client needs
- Present findings to clients and organizational leaders
- Contribute to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and team best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant degree preferred
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required
- Healthcare financial, hospital operations, supply chain, or procedural analytics experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work with limited supervision
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, data management, and problem-solving skills required
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
- Strong SQL proficiency preferred
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence solutions preferred
- Experience with the Clinical Database (CDB) or Operational Database (ODB) preferred
