About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze and synthesize health-system financial, operating, market, and organizational data
- Develop, test, and refine hypotheses related to health-system performance, market dynamics, peer comparisons, and industry trends
- Lead analytical workstreams supporting Kaufman Hall’s Insights Engine
- Develop and enhance benchmarks, comparison groups, performance measures, and analytical assets
- Validate data elements, metrics, calculations, benchmarks, and analytical outputs
- Collaborate with healthcare subject-matter experts, technology partners, and Innovation and Insights leadership
- Evaluate data quality and identify inconsistencies, gaps, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
- Develop reports, presentations, and analytical summaries
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Insights Engine
- Manage assigned project workstreams and deliverables
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–5 years of experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare finance, financial planning, healthcare analytics, benchmarking, strategic planning, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of health-system financial and operating performance
- Ability to interpret financial statements, operational metrics, performance indicators, and relationships among key measures
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Ability to assess data quality, consistency, and reliability
- Ability to translate analytical findings into clear observations, insights, and recommendations
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with healthcare subject-matter experts, business stakeholders, and technical teams
- Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship for employment authorization in the United States and with Kaufman Hall
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations
