About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and mentor a team of Spend Managers within the Northeast region
Drive sourcing and spend optimization strategies aligned with organizational goals
Strengthen client partnerships and maximize the effectiveness of Vizient’s group purchasing organization
Collaborate with stakeholders to implement category strategies
Align work with the Spend Management Delivery team and client priorities
Build and lead a high-performing team focused on solving client challenges
Partner with Spend Executives and senior leaders to align support with client workplans and drive client satisfaction
Ensure effective implementation of strategic programs such as Impact Standardization and Novaplus
Optimize Vizient tools, systems, and resources to maximize client value
Coach Spend Managers on Quarterly Business Reviews and category strategies
Conduct skill-building sessions for Spend Managers
Drive performance improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and embed leading practices
Recommend enhancements to standard work and automation
Direct consistent adoption of standard work across the team
Contribute to Spend Manager training curriculum
Own team performance, budget management, and financial outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Relevant degree preferred
10 or more years of relevant performance improvement, operations or healthcare related experience required
Proven leadership ability with experience building high-performing teams, coaching talent, and fostering growth through collaboration and partnership
Strong executive presence with demonstrated success presenting to and working with senior management
Excellent project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to lead complex initiatives and drive results
Strategic and independent thinker with the ability to align initiatives to client and organizational priorities
Skilled motivator and team builder who can inspire, lead, and support others to deliver high performance and continuous improvement
Willingness to travel
