About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a high-performing sourcing function or department and set strategic priorities, expectations, accountability measures, and operating rhythms
  • Develop and coach leaders and team members through feedback, talent development, succession planning, performance routines, and follow-up
  • Guide organizational change and support adoption of new tools and ways of working
  • Oversee the lifecycle of 1099 contractor resource engagements
  • Lead custom client sourcing and contracting strategies to reduce spend, improve efficiency, maximize value, and support client satisfaction
  • Oversee opportunity assessment, contract planning, RFP strategy, supplier engagement, negotiation, implementation, contract maintenance, and value realization
  • Develop customized contract and program portfolios supporting client ROI and measurable savings, revenue, and value
  • Serve as escalation point for complex contracts, supplier negotiations, client needs, sourcing decisions, and cross-functional issues
  • Partner with client executives, representatives, and internal stakeholders to negotiate solutions, implement agreements, and track program success
  • Collaborate with Legal, Analytics, Sales / Client Executives, Information and Data Services, Operations, Compliance, and Category teams
  • Maintain supplier relationships and oversee complex negotiations
  • Evaluate performance using data, metrics, financial results, client value, savings, operational outcomes, and revenue opportunities
  • Develop processes, training, governance practices, and systems for quality, consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Champion AI-enabled transformation with governance, quality, responsible use, readiness, and output validation
  • Measure and communicate sourcing outcomes, supplier performance, implementation success, operational improvements, and client ROI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field; advanced degree a plus
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier negotiations, supply chain, client engagement, consulting, or healthcare-related contracting
  • 3 or more years of people leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success leading sourcing strategy, contract planning, supplier negotiations, and custom agreement portfolio development in complex or matrixed environments
  • Strong understanding of contracting processes, contract language, compliance requirements, supplier relationship management, value tracking, and sourcing lifecycle execution
  • Advanced financial, analytical, problem-solving, executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience developing business processes, training materials, operating rhythms, tools, governance practices, or systems
  • Advanced capability to lead performance through multiple leaders and guide significant functional change
  • Advanced expertise integrating AI into business strategy, operational improvement, and organizational change
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Willingness to travel
