About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop project plans and engage internal and external stakeholders to meet savings goals and business objectives
Develop customized contract strategy recommendations for complex contracting needs
Conduct and interpret financial analysis and market trends
Consult subject matter experts to formulate contract strategy recommendations
Monitor prices and maintain contracts using Vizient benchmarking tools
Identify savings and contracting opportunities with health-system stakeholders and teammates
Identify contracting portfolio gaps to ensure engagement value realization
Present savings initiatives and contracting updates at engagement meetings
Build relationships with suppliers and internal and external customers
Conduct bid processes and generate RFPs
Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers
Collaborate with legal, analytics, backend systems, and aptitude sourcing platform teams
Help member hospitals develop strategies and cost savings solutions amid changing conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Relevant degree preferred; MBA or master’s degree a plus
5 or more years of relevant experience in contracting, contract management, or supply chain
Ability to think critically and effectively present information in a summary fashion utilizing Microsoft tools
Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Health care contracting background with successful contract negotiations preferred
Strong relationship-building and strategic partnering skills
Willingness to travel
