About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Kaufman Hall's Innovation & Growth portfolio
Establish governance, processes, and accountability mechanisms for strategic growth opportunities
Manage the innovation portfolio lifecycle from idea through business case development, evaluation, pilot, scaling, or closure
Build and maintain intake, prioritization, stage-gate review, sponsorship, success measurement, and executive reporting processes
Support evaluation of acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and other inorganic growth opportunities
Partner with Practice Leaders, Managing Directors, and executive stakeholders on business cases, priorities, risks, and approved initiatives
Facilitate portfolio governance forums and prepare executive-level recommendations
Translate complex analyses into clear investment, growth, acquisition, partnership, and portfolio decisions
Monitor portfolio performance, resources, risks, and dependencies
Lead and develop team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and disciplined execution
Exercise independent judgment on portfolio operations, stakeholder coordination, and execution activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Significant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, transformation, portfolio management, or a related strategic leadership environment
Healthcare experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization
Experience evaluating strategic investments, growth opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, or new business capabilities
Strong business acumen and analytical judgment
Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
Proven project, program, or portfolio leadership experience
Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, development, and performance management
Ability to build credibility and trusted relationships across all organizational levels
Work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship in the United States
