About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft defenses, appeals, submissions, and other pleadings, including in strategic and highly complex proceedings.
- Monitor cases and deadlines, keeping the docket organized and tracking systems up to date.
- Conduct all types of hearings, including initial, single-session, and evidentiary hearings, with thorough preparation and oral arguments, both virtually and in person.
- Analyze employment-related risks and contingencies, developing defensive and preventive strategies with clients.
- Prepare legal consultations, opinions, and guidance on employment practices, compliance, and collective bargaining.
- Participate in client meetings, understanding their needs, recommending the best solutions, and providing updates on case progress.
- Supervise and guide junior lawyers and interns, contributing to the technical quality of the team’s work.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
- At least 4 years of experience in employment law, including internships.
- Proficiency in PJe and case management systems.
- Strong legal writing, technical reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Proactive approach.
- Clear verbal and written communication, with a professional and courteous manner when dealing with clients, team members, and leadership.
- English proficiency.
