About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build enterprise-grade applications using cloud experience
- Provide expertise and partnership to functional, technical, and cross-functional teams
- Own the design and application of modules in Volante’s payment intelligence and analytics application
- Develop and maintain applications using front-end and back-end technologies
- Participate in architectural and technology discussions
- Provide feedback on frameworks and tools
- Conduct reviews of architectural specifications, functional specifications, code, and test plans
- Participate actively in Agile development, scrums, demos, and planning meetings
- Collaborate across teams to integrate all aspects of the Volante PaaS solution
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in developing large enterprise applications
- 3+ years of Java development experience
- Strong skills in J2EE server-side programming, including Core Java, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, and Spring
- At least 2 years of experience in Angular or React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and responsive web design
- 4+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle experience
- Working knowledge of XML, XSD, JSON, REST, and SOAP
- Experience with at least one messaging solution: Kafka, Active MQ, or Rabbit MQ
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases
- Experience with microservice design
- Experience working in high-performing development teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub, and JS debugger
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of API security such as OAuth and WS-Security is a plus
- Experience with Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly, IBM WebSphere, or Oracle WebLogic is a plus
- Prior experience in Banking or Payments domain is a plus
- Experience with cloud application deployment in AWS or Azure is a plus
- Experience in Python is a plus
