About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and communicate a technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Data Catalog
Lead technical development, configuration, optimization, and integration with different data sources
Embed data governance policies and workflows
Set up and maintain connectors and integrations for data ingestion
Validate ingested data accuracy, completeness, and original structure
Support Data Stewards and Data Owners with business metadata ingestion and organization
Map relationships between business and technical metadata
Create and manage custom asset views, including business and technical lineage diagrams
Design and implement workflows to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency
Onboard and train key governance roles
Implement and enforce data governance, security, and quality assurance practices
Collaborate with technical teams on scalable features and technology-stack integration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or comparable work experience
Proven experience working as a Data Catalog Owner or related role
Comprehensive knowledge of Data Governance principles, best practices, and compliance standards is mandatory
In-depth experience with databases, ETL processes, data lakes, data pipelines, and leading data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra) or related Data Governance tools
Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data integration
Experience implementing and managing Data Lineage and Data Profiling
Ability to collaborate with the Product Owner and work closely with data engineers, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders
Strong communication and analytical skills
Great English skills, both written and spoken
