About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a CAD system expert for engineering changes and technical evaluations
Use CATIA to troubleshoot component concepts and production topics
Load complex vehicle assemblies
Perform tolerance studies using cloud analysis
Execute technical changes for current exterior components
File CAD data in KVS and prepare design releases
Run quality check meetings and ensure accurate data releases
Support product engineers with releasing CAD models, drawings, and PDMs
Design new parts and assemblies with the exterior engineering team for model care projects
Serve as subject matter expert for product-design systems
Track global changes in design-release standards, systems, and technologies
Support IT with revision-level systems and technology rollouts
Coordinate CAD data exchange with suppliers and customers
Support design studies for model care ideas, FMK/PKOs, special models, and innovative research

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Technology, or a related field of study and 12 months of experience
Alternatively, three years toward a Bachelor degree and 36 months of experience
Experience in CAD design/creation
Experience with exterior vehicle component systems
Proficiency with CATIA
Must comply with pre-employment substance abuse testing
Must satisfy E-Verify employment eligibility requirements
