About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take end-to-end responsibility for grid-scale projects
- Manage schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and change orders
- Coordinate grid connection with network operators and oversee the process through certification in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4110/4120
- Coordinate work packages including battery containers, inverters, transformers, medium-voltage systems, and EMS integration
- Manage construction processes, site supervision, and subcontractors on site
- Ensure occupational safety and compliance with employers’ liability insurance association regulations for electrical work
- Support permitting, tendering, and contracts with EPC partners and suppliers
- Guide projects through acceptance and the resolution of outstanding defects
- Serve as the central point of contact for customers and partners and provide transparent reporting
- Further develop project management standards and make Voltfang’s grid-scale storage projects scalable
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, a master craftsman qualification in electronics, or a comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of experience in project management for technical infrastructure or energy projects
- Experience with battery storage systems, PV, wind, or substations is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage systems and grid connection processes
- Knowledge of scheduling, budget management, and risk management
- Confident negotiation skills with customers, network operators, and subcontractors
- Fluent German and strong negotiation skills in German
- Good English skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites (approximately 20–30%)
- Class B driving license
