About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, implement, and administer infrastructure and network systems
Monitor and maintain systems, and analyze and resolve incidents
Create and maintain system documentation, risk assessments, and technical reports
Manage and monitor local and centralized infrastructure and network components
Support less experienced team members with technical and process-related questions
Review the implementation of the infrastructure strategy
Develop small-scale testing and monitoring scripts for integration into existing monitoring systems
Evaluate new networking technologies and prepare them for deployment
Build and operate a nationwide, cross-site network infrastructure across Austria
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, and WAN connections

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong knowledge of relevant network protocols and services, such as SSH, TFTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, HSRP, BGP, and OSPF
Knowledge of operating LAN and SAN infrastructures in data center environments
Knowledge of IT security
Experience administering and operating Linux-based systems
Familiarity with Cisco technologies, including IOS, ACI, and ISE
Familiarity with automation solutions such as Ansible
Knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Python, Perl, or Bash
Willingness to pursue professional and personal development
Independent work style, strong commitment, and excellent analytical skills
Team-oriented mindset
EU citizenship (MUST HAVE)
German at C-level (MUST HAVE)
