About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build a pipeline, convert leads into long-term clients, close high-value deals, and use commission accelerators
  • Build and leverage connections in the tech ecosystem to drive deals and develop a personal brand
  • Host and attend industry events, including golf events and exclusive dinners
  • Engage with law firms and influential technology ecosystem partners
  • Establish and grow Centers of Influence with law firms, investors, and partners
  • Attend or host 3–4 industry events per month
  • Partner with the Business Development Representative on target account lists, events, conferences, and outbound plans
  • Develop personal brand and ecosystem network with the Marketing team through online and offline thought leadership
  • Manage and accelerate 6–16 week deal cycles
  • Generate and manage a multi-quarter pipeline
  • Guide prospects from discovery through close and navigate complex decisions with multiple stakeholders
  • Collaborate with client success and experienced brokers to leverage insurance expertise and craft tailored solutions
  • Manage high-value relationships virtually and in person
  • Deliver proactive service and tailored insurance solutions for clients’ unique risks
  • Rapidly expand into larger and more complex clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of successful quota-carrying experience in insurance, fintech, software sales, or similar roles
  • Experience closing deals with CEOs, CFOs, and GCs, especially within the tech ecosystem
  • Genuine passion for the tech ecosystem and understanding of its challenges
  • Knowledge of industry trends, main players, and pain points
  • Interest in building expertise and relationships in technology domains such as Fintech and AI
  • Consultative selling experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proactive, positive, driven, coachable, dependable, and adaptable
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain composure and clarity in ambiguous, complex situations
  • Prior experience as Producer, or equivalent role (nice to have)
  • Exposure to Series A+ startups (nice to have)
  • Background in insurance or other regulated categories (nice to have)
