About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage an approximately $6M annual book of commercial insurance clients
  • Serve as clients’ primary point of contact and trusted advisor
  • Deliver proactive, timely, and expert service to drive client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships
  • Advise clients on evolving risk profiles and analyze coverage needs
  • Recommend tailored insurance solutions aligned with clients’ business goals
  • Lead end-to-end renewal processes and identify opportunities to round out accounts
  • Surface upsell and cross-sell opportunities and coordinate with producers to grow the portfolio
  • Collaborate with the Placements team to secure optimal coverage structures and ensure seamless execution
  • Partner with Sales during late-stage deals and onboarding for smooth client handoff and setup
  • Contribute insights to internal process and tooling development to improve scalability and efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of Account Management experience within the Commercial Insurance space
  • Ideally, exposure to technology companies
  • Strong track record of retention and growth of complex Middle Market accounts
  • Strong preference for prior working experience with Cyber/Tech E&O; Management Liability (D&O/EPLI, etc.); Business Owners Package (BOP) and GL/Property; Workers’ Compensation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Dependable, coachable, proactive, positive, and detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Able to deal well with ambiguity and maintain composure in complex situations
  • Strong Sales, Communication, and Marketing skills
  • Demonstrated success managing tight time frames and high volumes of work
  • Active/current Property and Casualty License
  • Nice to have: exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth environments
  • Nice to have: background handling Fintech and/or Web3-related accounts
