About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and govern the overall Workday architecture, including business process frameworks, security model, tenant configuration, and integration landscape
  • Lead complex projects such as module implementations, mergers/acquisitions integrations, major upgrades, and tenant consolidations
  • Own the integration strategy between Workday and third-party/downstream systems, including payroll providers, benefits carriers, time tracking, and finance systems
  • Use EIBs, Studio, Core Connectors, and/or Workday web services (SOAP/REST)
  • Establish and enforce configuration standards, naming conventions, and governance practices
  • Partner with the Workforce Systems leader to translate business strategy into system roadmaps
  • Conduct architectural reviews of proposed configuration changes and assess downstream impact
  • Lead technical evaluation of bi-annual Workday releases and advise on adoption of new features
  • Mentor Workday Administrators and analysts and serve as final escalation point for complex break/fix issues
  • Manage relationships with Workday Professional Services, AMS vendors, and implementation partners
  • Ensure data integrity, security compliance, and audit readiness across the tenant
  • Report directly to the Sr. Director, Workforce Systems & Payroll

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of Workday experience, including at least 3 years in an architect or lead technical design capacity
  • Deep expertise across multiple Workday modules; HCM required, with Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking and/or Projects strongly preferred
  • Proven experience with Workday integration tools: Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, and Workday web services
  • Strong understanding of Workday security groups, business process configuration, and calculated fields
  • Experience leading full lifecycle implementations or major tenant transformations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical leadership
  • Workday certifications in Integrations preferred; Workday Pro certification a plus
  • Must be a U.S. Person: a US Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)
  • Must be eligible to obtain any required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce
